It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the business world or are someone who stays home to take care of your family, watches are important. History

It didn’t used to be, however, that they were so important. For a vast amount of history, watches were never used. It wasn’t until the 15th century that a men’s watch was finally invented. Many believe that a clockmaker from Germany who was named Peter Henlein was the first to create a small, portable timepiece. In the 1600’s, pocket models were worn by men while women wore pendants. They continued in this fashion until the 1920’s. During that time, only women wore them on their wrist. They realized that it was much easier to see what the time was.

Men considered them to be “unmanly”, and vowed that they’d rather wear skirts than wear a wristwatch. Soldiers, however, realized that it was much easier to wear a wrist model than it was to have to pull out a pocket version, and before the 1930’s, wristwatches overcame pocket models to become the timekeeping pieces that everyone wore.

Now you can find many companies making models for both men and women. Swiss Army watches have become extremely popular in the last decade or so by creating versions that are not only beautiful to look at but that are created to stand the test of time. The company has been characterized again and again by perseverance, and this can certainly be seen in their timepiece products. In the industry, it is very difficult to be able to break in if you haven’t been making timepieces for generations, as most of the companies have been making them for a very long time indeed. Victorinox, however, was able to utilize all of the skills of their designers in order to create timepiece that were equal, and many that surpassed, the models that were already on the market, making them a company to take notice of from the moment that they started releasing timepieces.

Style

Unlike some of the collections from this company, this collection has models that, while maintaining a similar look, have a variety of different bracelets. Some are made of leather, while others are made of metal, providing a unique look for each watch. All of the faces, however, contain the 12 hour time as well as the 24 hour time and also include a small date window. Most have a blue dial, and the crystal is an anti reflective sapphire type.
