History of the Brand
Vostok began out of necessity during World War II. When a major Russian maker was evacuated from Moscow to Chistopol in 1941, a new factory and new brand name were born. Since then, this company has excelled, particularly in the Russian market where they are by far the dominant name. Currently, they are expanding production and sales. New models are being created specifically suited to export markets, and movements, escapements, and other parts are now being sold outside of Russia. Clearly, the time has come for this Russian giant to enter the world stage, where their sixty years of experience will no doubt serve them well.
